In the summer of 2014, the city of Baltimore was grappling with a surge in violence. It was against this tense backdrop that the life of 38-year-old Tyree Woodson, an African-American man, came to a sudden and controversial end. On August 5th, members of the Baltimore Police Department's Warrant Apprehension Task Force took Woodson into custody and transported him to the Southwestern District Police Station.
