Stephen Alex Rane, a 22-year-old male student at the University of Maryland, was killed on February 12, 2013, in his off-campus home in College Park, Maryland. Remembered by friends and family as genuine and sincere, he was known for his sarcasm and frequent laughter. At the time of his death, Rane was a senior majoring in English and Linguistics and was a graduate of Centennial High School in Ellicott City, Maryland.
