On a fall evening in 2011, Elliott LaWayne Harris, a 44-year-old man from Mechanicsville, Maryland, was found in his vehicle on the 4300 block of 23rd Parkway in Temple Hills. It was approximately 6:46 p.m. on October 6th when police responded to the scene to find Mr. Harris suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. For nearly two months, he fought for his life, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Friday, December 2, 2011.
