Omari Ellis, an 18-year-old resident of Mount Vernon, NY, tragically lost his life on July 29, 2020. He was fatally shot while sitting in a friend's car on South Eighth Avenue. The incident occurred early in the morning, and police were alerted during a traffic stop on South Tenth Avenue when the driver informed them that his cousin had been shot.
