In the early morning hours of June 3, 2020, the tranquility of Claremont Park in the Bronx was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 36-year-old Jimmy Summers. A resident of Anthony Avenue, just a few blocks north of the park, Summers was discovered on the basketball courts with a fatal gunshot wound to his head. A passerby alerted officers from the 44th Precinct to the scene at approximately 7:15 a.m. Upon their arrival, they found Summers unconscious and unresponsive.
