In the late hours of a December night in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the life of 19-year-old Jose Osorio was tragically cut short. Just after midnight on December 20, 2017, gunfire erupted outside a building on Havemeyer Street. When officers from the 90th Precinct arrived at the scene, they found Osorio with gunshot wounds to his leg and back. A 20-year-old man was also wounded, having been shot in the shoulder.
