Father of 8 shot and killed In the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans, on the evening of December 12, 2015, a man's life was cut short by violence. Morris Bates, Sr., a 35-year-old male, was discovered unresponsive just before 9 p.m. in the 3100 block of General Ogden Street, near the intersection with Forshey Street. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
