In the autumn of 2014, the life of Jamar Paige, a 23-year-old man from Rochester, New York, was tragically cut short. On September 28, 2014, Paige was ambushed in the parking lot of a local restaurant and fatally shot four times. A standout high school football player, he had continued his athletic pursuits as a semi-professional player with the Monroe County Sting in the Northeastern Football Alliance.
