Jose A. Molina, a 32-year-old resident of Coachella, California, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident on June 2, 2022. The incident occurred just after midnight in front of a house near Cairo Street and Shady Lane. Deputies from the Thermal station responded to reports of the shooting and found Molina suffering from gunshot wounds. The suspect, Andrew Quintana Martinez, a 22-year-old resident of Coachella, was apprehended in the city of Indio. Martinez was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Banning and held on a $1 million bail. He faced charges including murder, attempted kidnapping, and false imprisonment. Court records revealed that Martinez had four other active cases involving charges such as battery, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm.
