An African American man, 38-year-old Alexander Jason Scott, was discovered deceased on the morning of April 8, 2014, in a canal in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His body was found in the 1000 block of North 44th Street, near a residential area. The cause of death was determined to be from a gunshot wound.
