Christina Velez, a 33-year-old woman from Merced, California, tragically lost her life on October 30, 2021. According to reports, Velez was caught in the crossfire during a planned and targeted robbery that went awry on East Main Street. The occupants of the house where the robbery took place interrupted the attempt, leading to an exchange of gunfire between the robbers and the residents.
