Juan Alarcon, a 55-year-old resident of East Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on the evening of September 1, 2021. Alarcon was fatally shot during a robbery outside his home in the Elmhurst Park neighborhood. The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found Alarcon suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
