Edgar Benitez, a 27-year-old resident of Covina, California, tragically lost his life on May 27, 2021, in a fatal shooting incident in La Puente. The incident occurred in the 18600 block of Villa Park Street at approximately 9:55 a.m. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Benitez was pronounced dead at the scene.
