Francisco Mora Castillo Jr., a 19-year-old resident of Freedom, California, tragically lost his life on January 9, 2021, in Watsonville. He was found near the Pajaro River levee, close to Walker Street, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The incident occurred around 7 p.m., and he was discovered near the railroad tracks. This marked the second homicide in Watsonville within a week, highlighting a concerning trend of violence in the area at that time.
