22 year old man found shot to death Cedric Maurice Brown, a 22-year-old Black male, was killed on the evening of Friday, September 7, 2012, in the Lower Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans. A father to one child, Brown was born and raised in the city.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., the New Orleans Police Department responded to a call regarding gunfire in the 6700 block of Maumus Avenue. Officers found Cedric Brown near a bicycle at the intersection of Maumus Avenue and Mansfield Avenue; he had been shot to death.
