Roberto Vargas Hernandez, a 38-year-old resident of Salinas, California, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2020. The incident occurred in a wooded area near East Laurel Drive, a location that had seen multiple shootings in the months leading up to his death. On that fateful night, Salinas police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men who had been shot.
