Jose Jesus Millan, also known as Jose Jesus Alfredo Millan, was a 24-year-old Latino man who tragically lost his life on October 6, 2019, in West Covina, California. Millan was found dead in a brushy area outside the Big League Dreams sports park at 2100 South Azusa Avenue. His body was discovered after family members received an anonymous call reporting his death.
West Covina Police officers, responding to the call, found Millan's body in a small camp where it appeared he had been deceased for some time. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso.
Millan had been living as a transient in West Covina, where he was known by the nickname "Bowser." Despite his transient lifestyle, he had a history of short-stay misdemeanor offenses and had been in and out of local jails multiple times in 2019. His last incarceration was for a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, for which he was released on September 14, 2019, just 23 days before his body was found.
