A man is shot and killed in Baton Rouge on New Year's Day On New Year's Day in 2012, the life of 22-year-old Gregory Alexander, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the early hours of January 1st, Alexander was fatally shot in a part of the city grimly referred to as the "Murder Triangle," an area known for its high incidence of violent crime.
