Hakim Webster, a 36-year-old resident of Compton, California, was tragically shot and killed on January 25, 2019. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the New Holy Trinity Baptist Church, located at 1919 East Compton Boulevard. Webster was attending a funeral for his cousin, Jakiera Green, who had died in a hit-and-run accident in Louisiana earlier that month. The church was filled to capacity with approximately 200 mourners, some of whom were standing outside due to the large turnout.
