Vanessa Oviedo, a 27-year-old mother of four from Visalia, California, tragically lost her life on November 18, 2016. Vanessa was 35 weeks pregnant when she was shot twice in the head while sitting in a car at an intersection in Visalia. The incident occurred during a gang-related shooting, but Vanessa was not the intended target. Her boyfriend, who was driving the car, was the actual target and was shot in the leg.
