Jeffrey Ullrich, a 55-year-old detective from Murrieta, California, was found dead on August 16, 2016, in what appeared to be a tragic case of suicide. Ullrich, who had served with the Murrieta Police Department for 16 years, was discovered with a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the Tenaja Trail Head in the unincorporated community of La Cresta.
