Eric Mendoza, a 27-year-old resident of San Jose, California, tragically lost his life on April 3, 2014. Mendoza was shot and killed while sitting in his red Toyota Corolla near Lanai Avenue and Denali Way, just east of Highway 101. The incident occurred around 5:25 a.m. as he was moving his car for street sweeping.
