The incident was part of a devastating murder-suicide orchestrated by his father, Ervin Antonio Lupoe. Ervin, who had recently been laid off from his job as an X-ray technician at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, was reportedly distraught over the loss of his and his wife's employment.
This led him to take the lives of his entire family, including his wife Ana Lupoe, their five children, and ultimately himself.
