In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in East Baltimore, the sounds of gunfire shattered the night, leaving a community in shock and a family grieving an irreversible loss. On September 7, 2016, 28-year-old Derrick Walker was tragically killed in a double shooting that also left a 20-year-old woman wounded. The incident unfolded shortly before 10:45 p.m. in the 2200 block of Oliver Street, a residential area that became the scene of a somber investigation.
