On the evening of September 7, 2016, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in an East Baltimore neighborhood, leaving one man dead and a young woman wounded. Derrick Walker, a 28-year-old male, was in the 2200 block of Oliver Street shortly before 10:45 p.m. when the shooting occurred.
