James Kiernan, a 35-year-old actor, tragically lost his life on July 24, 1975, in Venice, Los Angeles, California. Kiernan was gunned down in a drive-by shooting after attending an acting class. He was walking to his car with actress Barbara Colby when the attack occurred. Colby, who was also killed in the incident, was a well-known actress at the time, having appeared in several television series.
