Tana Smith, a 32-year-old woman from San Francisco, California, was tragically shot and killed on January 28, 1974. The incident occurred at a bus stop located at the corner of Geary Boulevard and Divisadero Street. The assailant used a .32 caliber firearm in the attack and fled the scene on foot. Eyewitnesses later identified the perpetrator as J.C. Simon, who was part of a notorious group known as the "Zebra murderers."
