On August 13, 1965, the Boles family, including 12-year-old Thomas Eugene Boles, traveled to their new cabin in Crestline, California, for a weekend getaway. Tragically, their trip ended in a horrific crime. By August 16, concerned family members, unable to reach them, alerted authorities. Upon arrival at the cabin, investigators discovered the lifeless bodies of James and Darlene Boles, along with their sons Bobby and Thomas, and the family dog.
