On August 13, 1965, the Boles family, including 12-year-old Thomas Eugene Boles, traveled to their new cabin in Crestline, California, for a weekend getaway. Tragically, their trip ended in a horrific crime. By August 16, concerned family members, unable to reach them, alerted authorities.
