In the autumn of 2005, a violent encounter on a Baltimore street set in motion a decade-long story that would ultimately end in tragedy. In October of that year, 19-year-old Andre Grice, a Black male, was one of two men shot in the 3800 block of Boarman Avenue. While the other victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Grice survived the initial attack.
