In the spring of 2016, the life of a young Black / African American man, Desean Mckoy, was tragically cut short at the age of 24. On Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in the Belair-Edison neighborhood of Northeast Baltimore, Mckoy became a victim of the city's ongoing violence. He was found shot in the 3100 block of Dudley Avenue, a residential street lined with brick homes.
