Jennifer pursued a career in nursing, initially working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CENA) and later becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) after studying at Jackson Community College.
She moved to Bradenton, Florida, in 2011 with her husband, Jeffrey Long, and their family. Jennifer worked at Manatee Memorial Hospital, where she was a charge nurse in the Oncology Department and was working towards her Master's Degree in Clinical Nursing.
On the evening of January 12, 2019, a tragic incident occurred at the Long residence in Bradenton. According to reports from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Jeffrey Long, aged 40, fatally shot his wife, Jennifer, before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide.
