Mack Holloman Jr., a 38-year-old African American man from Lakeland, Florida, was found dead on June 8, 2018. His body was discovered in an alleyway in the 500 block of West Magnolia Street with a severe head injury. Initially, it was unclear what had caused his death, but the medical examiner later determined that he had been shot. Holloman was transported to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
