In a state of panic, Allen fired a high-powered rifle into the Nissan Sentra driven by Elizabeth's husband, Javier. Elizabeth, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was struck by the gunfire and died at the scene. She was approximately three and a half months pregnant at the time of her death.
