Zachary Michael Alexander Holmes, a 21-year-old male from Fort Myers, FL, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2017. significant turn when three individuals were arrested in connection with Holmes' death. Ronald Eugene Ashley III, 20, from Cape Coral, and Jacques Lamar Brown Jr., 18, and Steven Lemar Williams, 20, both from Fort Myers, were apprehended by the Fort Myers Police Department. The arrests were made by officers from various units, including the Gang Suppression Unit, Public Housing Unit, Patrol Division, and detectives from the Special Investigations Bureau. The three suspects were charged with second-degree murder and home invasion robbery with a firearm. They were held without bond and were scheduled for arraignment on September 5, 2017.
The investigation into Holmes' death revealed that the incident was a result of a home invasion robbery. The suspects had a history of criminal activities, with Ashley having previous arrests for home invasion robbery in 2013 and Williams for armed robbery in 2014.
