Thomas Emmanuel Cependa, a 42-year-old male from Cocoa, Florida, tragically lost his life on November 16, 2016. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Pine Avenue, where both Thomas and his wife, Lisa Louise Cependa, were found dead from gunshot wounds. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office quickly identified the case as a murder-suicide, with Thomas being the victim and Lisa, aged 53, the perpetrator.
The initial call to the sheriff's dispatch center reported a possible suicide, but upon arrival, deputies discovered both bodies near the entrance of their home.
Witnesses in the neighborhood reported hearing gunshots and seeing the couple collapse in their driveway. The investigation revealed that the incident was isolated, with all involved parties identified. The bodies were found near a maroon-and-gold pickup truck, and the scene was cordoned off by several sheriff’s patrol cars and crime scene agents. Autopsies were scheduled to be conducted later that week to confirm the details of their deaths.
