In the spring of 2015, the life of Kemmontay Mechard Mitchell, a 27-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of March 30th, police responded to reports of a shooting on the 2800 block of West North Avenue. There, they found Mr. Mitchell suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response from emergency services, his injuries proved to be fatal.
