Simeon Anthony Smith, a 27-year-old resident of Plantation, Florida, tragically lost his life on October 22, 2015. The incident occurred early in the morning when Smith and another individual disembarked from a Broward County Transit bus along North State Road 7. An altercation ensued between the two men, leading to Smith being shot multiple times. He was subsequently transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
