In the summer of 2014, the life of Rashan Brian Middleton, a 22-year-old African-American man from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On the night of July 23rd, or in the early hours of July 24th, Middleton was found with gunshot wounds in the 3200 block of Dorithan Road. His death was ruled a homicide, adding to a year that was marked by a significant level of violence in the city.
