Lanny Alan Horwitz, a 66-year-old real estate mogul, was found dead in his Jupiter, Florida home on September 30, 2011. Initially, authorities suspected his death to be a suicide due to the position of his body and the presence of an empty revolver nearby. However, further investigation revealed that Horwitz had been shot nine times, including once in the mouth, which led investigators to conclude that it was a homicide.
