Deputy Sheriff Samuel George Wynne, a 47-year-old white male, was tragically killed on August 18, 1916, in Gainesville, Florida. Wynne was serving as a deputy sheriff for the Alachua County Sheriff's Office and was also a constable for District 6 in Newberry.
