Demetrius Dow, a 40-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on August 28, 2022, at the District at Vinings apartment complex in Vinings, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Cobb County police responded to a call around 4 a.m. and found Dow with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by first responders to treat his injuries, Dow succumbed to his wounds at the scene. The incident occurred outside one of the buildings in the complex, and it was reported that Dow had been shot multiple times.
