In the late hours of August 8, 2022, the life of 19-year-old Nevaeh Nevels, an African American mother, was tragically cut short in Columbus, Georgia. Nevels was in the parking lot of Wild Bill's Jewelry and Pawn on Buena Vista Road just before midnight when she was struck by multiple gunshots while still inside her vehicle.
