In the pre-dawn hours of a Wednesday in Decatur, Georgia, a simple act of compassion tragically cut short the life of 36-year-old Demario Kentrell Parrish. On July 13, 2022, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Parrish was at a Chevron gas station on the 2400 block of Candler Road when he witnessed a heated argument between a man and a woman in a car parked at the gas pumps.
