In the early morning hours of June 23, 2022, the life of 52-year-old Lisa Blanton was tragically cut short in a violent encounter at the Vineyard Village Apartments in Griffin, Georgia. Responding to a call about a person shot at approximately 2:51 a.m., Griffin Police officers arrived at the apartment on Highway 16 West to a grim scene. Inside, they discovered Blanton, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
