David Brown, a 43-year-old Black man from Columbus, Georgia, was shot before dawn on Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022, outside his apartment complex at 714 Fort Benning Road near the roundabout. The shooting happened at about 4 a.m., and what began as another violent moment in the dark turned into a fight for his life that lasted into the next day.
