On December 16, 2021, the body of a 30-year-old Black/African American female, Jamesha Trammell, was discovered in the woods near an entrance to Anderson Park in northwest Atlanta, Georgia. She had been fatally shot and left near a trail just two weeks after her thirtieth birthday. A mother of three, Trammell was known by her loved ones as a joyful and sweet person who worked tirelessly to provide for her children, at times holding down three jobs.
