In the evening hours of November 1, 2021, a dispute in the Oakland City neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, ended in the shooting death of 29-year-old Cavario Andicus Major. An African American male, Major was found by police at a residence on White Oak Avenue with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a dispute and that Major knew his assailant.
