In the early morning hours of September 20, 2021, the life of 29-year-old Shakiyla DeVon Sample was tragically cut short in a Lawrenceville, Georgia home. An African American woman, Sample was discovered by police inside a residence on Prospect Church Road, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
