In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 22, 2021, 43-year-old Rumondo D. Swinney was killed in a burst of gunfire that also claimed the lives of two other men. The triple homicide occurred around 12:45 a.m. in a parking lot at the intersection of Whitehall and McDaniel streets. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the three men with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. All three, including Swinney, were pronounced dead at the scene.
