In the summer of 2021, a life was tragically cut short in Macon, Georgia, when 69-year-old Freddie Lee Battle was killed. On the evening of July 30th, inside a home on Bethel Church Road, an argument escalated into a fatal encounter. An altercation between Battle and another man, 60-year-old Christopher Leon Woods, took a violent turn when Woods is said to have retrieved a firearm and shot Battle.
